The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova has voted a series of amendments to certain normative acts that facilitate the permission of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova and encourage investment and business development for some categories of foreign citizens.
The new provisions create much friendlier conditions for potential foreign investors from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, Canada and Schengen states.
Amendments to the Law no. 200/2010 on the Regime of Foreigners in the Republic of Moldova:
– reduce the number of documents required for granting the right to reside on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
– reduce by 2 times the processing period of applications for extension of the right of reside;
– extend the period of validity of the right to reside on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for foreigners;
– create the legal framework for the digitisation of the services provided.
The law also creates conditions for launching the E-filing service for foreign investors. The E-filing service would allow the electronic submission, using an electronic signature, of applications for granting and extending the right to reside to foreign investors (legal entities), registered in the Republic of Moldova and to persons in leadership positions.
All the services provided may be payable via MPay.
Favourable conditions are created for the economic growth, development of the tourist and cultural potential of our country by facilitating the permission and documentation of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for certain categories of foreign citizens.
