The Moldovan-Polish cooperation on the agenda of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Tomasz Kobzdej, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Moldova.

The officials reviewed the results achieved in the field of internal affairs thanks to the strong Moldovan-Polish cooperation and outlined the next priorities in order to strengthen the capacities of both sides.

Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros appreciated the support of the Polish partners in strengthening the capacities of Ministry’s employees by organizing training courses and joint exercises. It has been highlighted that the Republic of Poland remains one of the most important supporters of Moldova’s EU integration.

The Polish official appreciated the experience exchange with colleagues from the Republic of Moldova, referring to the smooth running of the EURO-MED-REACT field exercise and the fruitful cooperation with the employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

The parties discussed the commitment to further develop the EU Support Hub in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the improvement of capabilities and services in critical areas such as: digitalisation, security and public order, strategic foresight, and risk assessment, etc.

His Excellency has assured of support and active involvement in further development of the cooperation relations.

The negotiations on the intensification of cooperation in the field of internal affairs, which were part of the Action Plan between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Poland, ended in Februarie-May 2023.
