The meeting of MIA management with the representatives of the International Police Association

The extension of the collaborative partnership and the adoption of good practices in the security system were the main topics of discussion during the meeting between the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the representatives of the International Police Association.

The meeting was chaired by the State Secretary of MIA, Andrei Cecoltan, and the President of the International Police Association, Martin Hoffman.

Another topic concerned participation in joint events under the auspices of the International Police Association (IPA), in order to take over good practices and exchange expertise in the field of competence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The parties agreed to examine the possibility of concluding a Memorandum of Understanding, in order to strengthen the existing partnership and organize events of common interest.

We mention that the IPA – Republic of Moldova Section, is the only police organization with national coverage, made up of active duty policemen as well as reservists and MIA retirees, its purpose being to establish and strengthen friendly relations between its members, both on the national as well as international.
