Moldovan citizens can apply for criminal records online in any official language of the European Union

Starting June 7, 2024, Moldovan citizens can obtain their criminal records in any of the 24 official languages of the European Union through the Public Services Portal – This new feature enhances the digital options offered by the e-Government Agency and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

This service eliminates the need for beneficiaries to pay for official translations of their criminal records. They can request, apostille, and have the document delivered online to any country in the world via the Government Delivery Service, MDelivery.

In 2023, the option to request online issuance of criminal, contravention, and detailed criminal records was introduced, allowing for delivery to any requested location, including international addresses. Digital services for both individuals and legal entities are automatically delivered to the personal cabinet of the citizen or legal entity at, ensuring the security and protection of the applicant’s personal data.

Each issued document includes a QR code that, when scanned, displays the original criminal record issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, helping to prevent falsification or distortion of the documents.
