MIA leadership met with Chief Operating Officer of GS Foundation

Today, Minister Adrian Efros held discussions with Stefan Feller, Chief Operating Officer of the GS Foundation, focusing on the modernization of MIA’s capabilities and the Foundation’s contributions to crime prevention and crisis management.

The partnership between the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the GS Foundation, formalized through a Memorandum signed on May 15, 2023, will continue until December 2025. A new assistance package, exceeding EUR 6 million, will support the National Police during 2024-2025. Key projects such as “SECURE-MU” and “EQUALFORCE” will provide essential equipment to the Police and promote gender equality.

Minister Efros expressed his gratitude to the GS Foundation and the Government of Germany for their generous support, highlighting the significance of this collaboration for the Border Police, the General Inspectorate for Migration, and the Stefan cel Mare Academy.

“We greatly value the support of the GS Foundation and the German Government. This support enhances our security and advances gender equality within our institutions. We are committed to ensuring this partnership has a lasting, positive impact on our communities.”
