Between September 1 and 5, 2024, 13 women employees from institutions under the Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in the Annual International Women in Policing Conference, held in Chicago, USA.
The event aimed to establish a strategic global network to strengthen, unify, and empower women in law enforcement worldwide. Participants had the opportunity to exchange best practices on training, police reform, community policing, and management processes.
The Moldovan delegation joined renowned leaders from around the world to gain valuable insights on supporting, empowering, and advancing women in their professional careers.
The event also focused on strategies for recruiting female officers, ensuring their mental and physical well-being, and achieving work-life balance.
Additionally, participants forged new collaborations that will strengthen regional and international partnerships in policing.
The participation of the Moldovan delegation was made possible following an invitation from the U.S. Embassy in Chișinău.
