The challenges related to the regional crisis impose the need to adapt the level of equipment of the MAI subdivisions, in the context of the complex missions they carry out. The Border Police is the guarantor of the integrity of the national borders, therefore it is important that the subdivision is secured and equipped in order to increase the mobility of employees.
The cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and international partners continues to have beneficial results for the structures. Thus, following the negotiations, the General Inspectorate of the Border Police received 30 cars, purchased with the financial support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
With the help of these 30 cars, which are part of the territorial structures of the Border Police, the missions of the employees will be supported, ensuring mobility and prompt intervention. The value of the donation is over 2 million Euros.
The cars, equipped to the latest standards, are intended to carry out patrol missions in vulnerable areas and in hard-to-reach terrain, having in this sense high-performance technical characteristics.
We mention that the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to develop as many investment projects as possible, to improve the activity and working conditions of the employees of the MIA structures.
