Critical treatments can now be delivered without interruption, and rapid intervention is ensured when every minute counts. Today, MIA Hospital inaugurated its own medical oxygen station.
The new station produces 30 m³ of oxygen per hour, with a purity of 93–95%, guaranteeing the continuous availability of complex treatments, including hyperbaric therapy. This means critically ill patients receive timely care, while medical staff can act quickly and efficiently.
“The oxygen station is more than just equipment—it represents our commitment to protecting the life and safety of every patient”, said Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin.
Dr. Karina Nersesyan, UNFPA Representative in Moldova:
“This investment strengthens the capacity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital to save lives in both humanitarian and crisis situations. With UNFPA’s continued support, Moldova is advancing toward European standards in reproductive health, ensuring that women and girls have access to safe, modern, and inclusive medical services”.
The equipment, donated by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), ensures the hospital’s independence in supplying oxygen and strengthens the medical team’s ability to respond in any situation. For patients, this translates into uninterrupted treatment, faster interventions, and reliable safety.
The next priority for the MIA hospital is the creation of a modern Emergency Room, so that every patient who arrives can receive timely and appropriate care. In emergencies, every minute matters—and the necessary resources will always be within reach.
