The third panel of the International Forum “Child Safety Online” to be held in Chisinau on Februarie 15 and 16, 2024 will center on the fight against online sexual abuse and operation standards of law enforcement agencies and will be also streamed online on the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/MinisterulAfacerilorInterneRM/. Key topics of discussion will include advancements in methodologies to combat online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, the challenges associated with implementing a multidisciplinary approach and fostering cross-sector cooperation at European level, the standards and best practices of specialized institutions, and the national priorities in line with the EU commitments.
The speakers of the third panel will be the representatives of the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (EUROPOL), the EU Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (EUROJUST), the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), Prosecutor’s General Office of the Republic of Moldova and the General Police Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Organized in partnership with the International Centre “La Strada” with the support of the US Department of State and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the event will bring together government representatives, international and national organizations, delegates from the European Commission and the governments of EU Member States, ICT experts, civil society, and other experts.
