Strengthening Moldovan-Danish relations: a commitment to enhanced cooperation and security

Today, May 28, 2024, Andrei Cecoltan, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, met with a delegation of senior officials from the Danish Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Denmark in the Republic of Moldova. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and increasing cooperation in various key areas.

Andrei Cecoltan welcomed the Danish delegation and expressed gratitude for Denmark’s continued support for the Republic of Moldova’s aspirations to join the European Union. He emphasized the importance of enhancing Moldovan-Danish relations and reaffirmed Moldova’s commitment to joint efforts aimed at maximizing the potential for cooperation between the two countries.

“We rely on our continued cooperation. By sharing our resources, expertise, and experience, we can build a strong and successful partnership for the future,” said the State Secretary.

During the meeting, priorities for cooperation, the current regional situation, and the crises faced by the Republic of Moldova were addressed and potential joint projects explored. 

At the end of the discussion, both parties expressed commitment to work together to address current and future challenges to public order and security through comprehensive and innovative approaches.
