The second panel of the International Forum ”Child Safety Online” to be held in Chisinau on Februarie 15 and 16, 2024 is entitled ”Child online protection in the EU – a paradigm shift for national policies” and will be streamed online between 13:30 and 14:30 on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) https://www.facebook.com/MinisterulAfacerilorInterneRM/. The major issues to be discussed during the panel are the European legislation and strategies to fight against online sexual abuse, evidence-based policy making, the impact of the BIK+ Strategy and alignment of the national policies with the European ones.
The second panel speakers will be from the Republic of Moldova and Irland.
Organized in partnership with the International Centre “La Strada” with the support of the US Department of State and the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the event will bring together government representatives, international and national organizations, delegates from the European Commission and the governments of EU Member States, ICT experts, civil society, and other experts.
