Prompt and effective alignment with the acquis communautaire and EU security standards is a clear objective set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In this respect, a large-format meeting was held with the participation of Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros and international as well as national advisors.
Minister Efros, in opening the discussions, appreciated the contribution of the experts in ‘shaping and improving security policies and bringing them in line with international standards’. The activities driving the most pronounced development trends within the internal affairs system were reviewed, among them: management of donor relations and mobilisation of financial support, implementation of assistance projects, review of policy documents and provision of policy advice, advice on information and communication technologies, etc.
Discussions resulted in several short- and medium-term objectives to be achieved by the MIA in partnership with the team of international advisors.
