The Minister of Internal Affairs continues her mission to protect the citizens and the national security

The team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) will remain focused on increasing citizens’ trust in the police and on the institutional optimization of internal affairs fields. Minister Ana Revenco continues her mission to protect the citizens and the national security, after taking office in the Government appointed today. In this regard, the medium-term priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs remain those set out in the Strategy for the Development of Internal Affairs for 2022-2030: institutional efficiency, citizens’ security, fight against corruption and strengthening of strategic partnerships.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean, presenting his government programme in the Parliament, stated the MIA’s objectives: increasing citizens’ trust in the institution, increasing the intervention capacity (public service at a distance of maximum 15 minutes), increasing synergy between the five subdivisions and technical empowerment of the MIA.

The field of digitisation will also continue to shape its profile by creating and strengthening a hybrid security system, aimed at facilitating access to quality services for the good of the citizen, ensuring business environment and social security environment to attract investors and increase the quality of life.

The MIA will continue its efforts to remain a security provider for the region and the European Union.

At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs aims to remain an important factor of internal stability.

Minister Ana Revenco swore her allegiance to the motherland today in front of the President of the Republic of Moldova, so as to be always first on duty.
