Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros, met with the Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Dmitry Maryasin, in Geneva, to explore potential collaborations aimed at enhancing and fortifying the road safety system in the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs briefed the UN official on the efforts made to reduce accidents by aligning the existing national framework to the values and principles outlined in the Global Plan and implementing strategic coordination and institutional monitoring measures.
Additionally, they discussed the findings and recommendations of the draft National Road Safety Strategy, the operational aspects of the UN strategic framework for road safety, and the steps towards the modernization of the National Road Safety System.
