Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros and Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Kelly Keiderling discussed mainly the issue of trafficking in human beings, including trafficking of minors.
The leadership of the MIA informed the OSCE representatives about the launch of the National Reporting Mechanism on online child sexual abuse content.
In this regard, the OSCE Delegation expressed its interest and readiness to provide assistance to the Ministry of Internal Affairs concerning the policy and technical assistance components.
In addition, the need to improve the capacity of the MIA’s subdivisions was addressed in order to investigate criminal activities related to human trafficking, as well as the impact of the abuse in the use of modern communication technologies.
