Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros and State Secretary of the Ministry, Daniella Misail-Nichitin participated today, September 18th, 2023, in the opening of the first National Simulation Exercise ’Combating Trafficking in Human Beings: Strengthening Cooperation between Institutions through Simulation Exercise’, organized during September 18th-22th by the OSCE.
Discussions focused on the importance of cooperation between institutions in combating human trafficking, standard operating procedures, as well as the current challenges in identifying victims of human trafficking, especially at the borders of the Republic of Moldova, and in the context of the war in the neighbouring country.
In particular, the peculiarities were analysed with regard to the support provided to victims of trafficking and the efforts made by the authorities to combat and prevent this phenomenon.
