The General Inspectorate for Migration of the Ministry of internal Affairs has launched the E-filing service for foreign investors

Legal entities with foreign investments, registered in the Republic of Moldova, and persons with managerial position can apply online, starting from April 28, for the extension of the temporary residence permit on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The submission of the electronic file can be done on the website e-migrare.gov.md of the General Inspectorate for Migration (GIM) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). This allows uploading, notification or communication of the necessary documents, using the e-signature.

The E-filing platform will facilitate digital interaction with potential foreign investors through fast, remotely accessible services provided by the General Inspectorate for Migration.

Here, applicants will find information on:

1. Clear conditions for accessing the online service;

2. Legal framework that regulates the modus operandi of the service;

3. Conditions for the documentation of foreign investors on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;

4. Necessary documents.

The launch of the E-filing service was made possible as a result of the recent amendments to the Law no. 200/2010 on the Regime of Foreigners in the Republic of Moldova, promoted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The aim was to create friendlier conditions for potential foreign investors from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, Canada, and Schengen States, encouraging them to develop secure business in the Republic of Moldova.

It should be recalled that the digital transformation of the public services is among the three priorities set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 2023. The E-filing service launched by the General Inspectorate for Migration is an essential step towards the development of the digital infrastructure of the MIA and a service expected by foreign investors from our country.

The ICT projects proposed for implementation during 2023 are based on the Trust and Security of Society through Training, Integrity, and Digitization of the Internal Affairs System 2022–2025. A variety of projects are included in the ICT plan, which aim to improve the digital infrastructure of the MIA.
