The possibility of boosting bilateral relations was discussed during a meeting between Secretary of State Daniella Misail-Nichitin and Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of Moldova with residence in Bucharest, Paul McGarry.
The Secretary of State addressed the development agenda that would contribute to strengthening the field of internal affairs so that it would be more promptly and effectively aligned with EU security standards.
Officials discussed about broadening bilateral cooperation at both strategic and operational levels in areas such as fighting cybercrime, human trafficking and information technology.
Also, during the discussion, the Secretary of State mentioned that implementing the advanced practices used by the Irish Police and exchanging experience with colleagues from other similar structures would be an added value in developing the professional skills of Moldovan police officers.
In turn, Ambassador Paul McGarry has given assurances of support and commitment to the development of bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest.
