The tactical exercise simulating the movement of official convoys in view of the upcoming EPC Summit 2023 has been completed

Media Group for Security News on the European Political Community Summit 2023 which will take place in the Republic of Moldova informs:

The tactical exercise simulating the movement of foreign delegations is over. The training passed without incident. There were minor delays and no traffic jams. Public transport ran with slight deviations from the pre-established route, with the schedule resuming in the capital within 20 minutes. Priority service vehicles also had green corridors for interventions.

The purpose of the exercise was to improve and synchronize the movement of the official convoys in the context of the EPC Summit 2023 scheduled for June 1st. The authorities tested in real time their response potential to ensure smooth running of the event. The heads of the official convoys and the forerunners were also trained, among the participants to the exercise, to improve their skills required for the event.

The tactical simulation exercise was organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in coordination with the national security authorities and took place in intense traffic conditions on the main streets of the capital.

We would like to inform the public that, due to security reasons, training, simulations and other exercises are only made public shortly before they take place.

The authorities appreciate the responsiveness and understanding of citizens, both drivers and pedestrians, who have contributed to the success of the exercise. The proactive attitude is also expected for future events in the context of the EPC Summit 2023.
