The MGSN informs: Cartoonist Alex Buret joins the information campaign for citizens on the organization of the EPC Summit in Moldova

Taking into consideration the European Political Community (EPC) Summit 2023 and the major public interest for this event, the MGSN has invited cartoonist Alex Buret, famous for his ‘salt and pepper’ drawings, to join the team of the public information campaign.

With the artist joining the Media Group on Security News (MGSN), the aim is to approach the public communication in an attractive manner, in order to trigger citizens’ interest regarding the organization of the EPC Summit – an event of great importance for the Republic of Moldova, for the success of which the contribution and attitude of every citizen of our country is important.

In a slightly critical manner, Alex Buret manages every time to show in his drawings the situational irony of daily life, triggering for each of us reflections on what is happening around us.

Buret’s first drawings, within the partnership with the MGSN, refer to the Black Howk helicopter flying over Chisinau for several days, an element of novelty and surprise for the inhabitants of the capital.

Alex Buret is a well-known cartoonist in Moldova whose creations are highly appreciated. He is a graduate of the Pedagogical University, Faculty of Arts and Design from Chisinau.

During May, the authorities are organizing information campaigns to raise public awareness about the EPC Summit to be held on June 1st in Bulboaca village. The information campaigns concern the importance of the Republic of Moldova in the European area, as shown by the presence in our country of more than 50 heads of state, governments, and high-level EU officials. Citizens will also be informed about some of the security measures that will be applied during the Summit, which concern limitations on citizens’ mobility for short periods, so that they know how to schedule their daily activities.

The authorities count on citizens’ proactive attitude during all the preparatory process for this major event that will take place for the first time in our country.

The MGSN-EPC includes the communicators from the national public order, security and national defence institutions: Ministry of Internal Affairs with the General Police Inspectorate, Border Police, General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, General Inspectorate for Migration, General Inspectorate of Carabineers, MIA’s Academy ‘Stefan cel Mare’; State Protection and Guard Service; Security and Intelligence Service; Ministry of Defense; General Prosecutor’s Office; Civil Aviation Authority; National Administration of Penitentiaries.

The MGSN-EPC recommends everyone to get informed from official sources.
