Republic of Moldova sends a batch of humanitarian aid to earthquake-affected areas from Türkiye

The Government is sending a batch of humanitarian aid to the people of the Republic of Türkiye who suffered from the natural disasters caused by earthquakes on Februarie 6th and 7th.

Six trucks with a load of 317.93 cubic meters of goods are escorted by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations to the Leuseni border crossing point.

The batch includes hygiene kits and sets, medical supplies, blankets, pillows, sanitary trays and other strictly necessary goods, and is due to arrive in the earthquake-affected regions.

It should be recalled that, following the Turkish Government’s request for assistance addressed to the international community, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has identified a batch of material goods to be granted as humanitarian aid to the affected people.

The total value of the humanitarian batch is more than MDL 8 million, approved during the Government meeting of March 15th , in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
