NATO continues practical cooperation to strengthen institutional and democratic resilience of the Republic of Moldova

Minister of Internal Affairs Ana Revenco had an official meeting in Brussels with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana.

Officials jointly assessed the highly volatile security picture and discussed ways to increase the level of information of the authorities in Brussels on the regional situation.

The officials also discussed topical issues, including strengthening Moldova’s resilience and the regional security situation, hybrid threats coming from the Russian Federation, as well as cooperation prospects and priorities with EU Member States.

The Minister of Internal Affairs is in Brussels to attend the fifth meeting of the European Union Support Hub for Internal Security and Border Management in the Republic of Moldova (EU Support Hub).

Also today, Ana Revenco signed a letter of intent with Europol to improve cooperation between the European structure and the internal affairs system of our country, including by piloting innovative technologies implemented by Europol.
