Development of the list of indicators included in the Action Plan for the National Programme for the Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325, on Women, Peace, and Security (2023-2027)

Several representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs attended, from September 18th to 19th this year, the workshop ‘Strengthening the capacities of national institutions responsible for the implementation of the National Programme on the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security for the period 2023-2027’.

Participants had the opportunity to develop the list of indicators for the Action Plan related to the National Programme for the Implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325.

In this context, working group sessions and panel discussions were held. Next steps and priorities were set for the list of indicators foreseen under the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda objectives.

The event was organised by the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the support of Sweden and the UN Women.

The Government of the Republic of Moldova adopted in March 2023 the National Programme for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security for the years 2023-2027.

The main aim of the Programme is to create a range of opportunities for the qualitative representation of women in the security and defence sector internally and externally, including conflict negotiation process, in order to ensure the security of society as a whole – for both women and men.
