Flights scheduled today from Chisinau International Airport operated normally, with the exception of the Chisinau – Brussels flight

As a result of the tactical simulation exercises of the EPC Summit, which were carried out today, the flights organized from the Chisinau International Airport, between 09:00 am and 12:30 pm, took place according to the schedule, except the Chisinau – Brussels flight, which had a 30-minute delay.

The decision to delay the flight by half an hour was made by the airline operator so that the passengers who are late could get on board. Regarding the disgruntled person who was not able to cross the street to get to the airport, we specify that the person was stopped from crossing the road for 5 minutes, after which she was allowed to continue her way (her flight was planned for 12:30 pm). We mention that road traffic towards the Chisinau International Airport was opened at 10:45 am.

The MGSN states that citizens were informed in advance and repeatedly to plan their routes to the airport and other locations in order to avoid delays.

The citizens were notified both textually and graphically about the traffic restrictions issued by the national authorities involved in the simulation exercises. Alternative routes as well as recommendations were published in various information sources, including on https://mai.gov.md/ro/node/7758.

Warnings were also made for those who planned flights on May 14th, between 9:00 and 14:00.

No other incidents were recorded during today’s simulation. We thank the citizens who complied with the recommendations of the authorities and showed understanding.

The MGSN-EPC recommends everyone to get informed from official sources, since information of public interest is disseminated on official websites and provided to mass-media in real time.
