Constructive discussions with representatives of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Adrian Efros, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Moldova, His Excellency Fred Duijn.

The officials discussed bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest, as well as developments related to regional security, internal reforms and our firm commitment to advance on the path of European integration.

The Minister of Internal Affairs reiterated his appreciation for the support of Netherlands in the modernization of the system of internal affairs, supporting the activities carried out in the sustainable development of the country. Adrian Efros emphasized the importance of taking over the experience of Dutch colleagues in prevention and intervention in the event of disasters, especially those related to floods, as well as the exchange of best practices in the effective management of critical situations, terrorist attacks, combating hybrid attacks and organized crime.

In the margins of the discussions, the benefits of joining the European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS) were evaluated – in the context of strengthening the internal security of our state.

At the same time, it was discussed also the role of the security HUB of the European Union dedicated to collaboration on the subject of internal security and border management of both the Republic of Moldova and the EU space in the context of multiple threats.Those present agreed to further deepen the good relations between our countries.
