The good organization of the European Political Community Summit will be ensured also with the contribution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania

The Media Group for Security News on the European Political Community Summit (GMSS-EPC) 2023 informs:

Eighty-seven employees from the Romanian Ministry of Internal Affairs arrived in the Republic of Moldova to support the national authorities in the smooth running of the Summit. The Romanian specialists come from the Department for Emergency Situations, the General Inspectorate of Aviation, and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. The forces and means deployed from Romania cover medical aid, CBRN protection (chemical, biological, radioactive, and nuclear protection), emergency medical evacuation, decontamination modules and four modern medical facilities. Two SMURD helicopters will be delivered to the Republic of Moldova for emergency medical evacuation, according to the international standards in force, which will perform aeromedical missions if necessary.

The Romanian support has been provided in the context of the implementation of the Moldovan-Romanian emergency management cooperation agreement since 2014. In this way both countries can assist each other in crisis management and prevention of exceptional situations. The mutual support during the pandemic, as well as the multiple SMURD Romania air-medical missions to save lives in the Republic of Moldova, are eloquent examples of this.

The MGSN-EPC includes the communicators from the national public order, security and national defence institutions: Ministry of Internal Affairs with the General Police Inspectorate, Border Police, General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, General Inspectorate for Migration, General Inspectorate of Carabineers, MIA’s Academy ‘Stefan cel Mare’; State Protection and Guard Service; Security and Intelligence Service; Ministry of Defense; General Prosecutor’s Office; Civil Aviation Authority; National Administration of Penitentiaries.

The MGSN-EPC recommends everyone to get informed from official sources.
